how wonderful is this lil' casa? i especially love the bits of ethnic print paired with wall art framed in blonde wood and the john robshaw bed linens.

on a separate note, i'm starting a long overdue DIY project involving my treasured
hayward wakefield chair. the seat cushion has been in need of repair and i think i have
found the fabric. i'll be blogging my progress. yay!

the darling fruit bats are playing at the capitol hill block party and i'm toying around the idea of going. seen um live before and they are fantastic.

that teenage feeling

clogs. they've been happening again ever since mr. lagerfeld slipped them on his models for the

s/s 2009 collection for chanel. immediately upon viewing those lovelies, i thought of the ones that i bought when i was seventeen. i wore them with these soft, worn bell-bottoms that i thrifted at ragstock for five dollars. they were spectacular. what i wouldn't give to have those again. why did i get rid of them in the first place? hindsight, right?

but, i think that i can get a little bit of that back this fall with these sweet little ladies.

at least i can pretend, right?

off to the homeland this week. yay! the best part of minnesota is that

in the summer the lakes are divine and since it so blazin' hot, it's the place to be.
