i found a great article (via put this on) about an online company called warby parker . they have a terrific selection of men's and women's

designs for around 100 AND you can try before you buy.

meaning, they'll ship you up to three pairs to try before you commit. genius! i love it! i'll let you know how it all turns out. this one is currently the running favorite.

onto the swedes...seriously! what a beautiful set of voices...el perro del mar just played a show at the triple door on friday night. sadly, i needed to bring home the bacon, so i missed it. but caught some of her live show on KEXP. what a talented lady. of course she's swedish, too.
